Behind the Collection

curiosity: a strong desire to know and understand the world around us

The early stages of our life are filled with curiosity but somewhere along the way we lose our sense of wonder. However, our awe-inspiring, ever wondrous world is not lost, even if we have lost touch with it. It is waiting to be explored and discovered; inviting us to connect.

So what would happen if we awakened our curiosity again?

What beauty and depth could we unveil around and within?

I began this series with my own playful curiosity and intuition. In this state, I let the paint flow and chose colours based on my feeling in the moment. It was like tapping into an unknown world of sorts with abstract forms and lines. I immediately envisioned insects interacting in this abstract existence I created. This got me thinking about how these bugs seem to freely embrace the natural world, their world with innate curiosity. Such tiny creatures living in the moment, with a big world around them, following their instincts, exploring, discovering...

What could we learn from them?
